Method Man has finally revealed why the Wu-Tang Clan didn't appear on Drake's ode to the legendary rap group.
On Monday, December 8, the rapper-actor appeared on 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and was asked by guest host Kazeem Famuyide about his reaction to Drizzy's song "Wu-Tang Forever" off his 2013 album, Nothing Was The Same. Meth said that Drake sent the record to the group and wanted them to hop on it. Unfortunately, he wasn't feeling the song and passed on it.
"When he sent the record, we were overseas," he explained. "Some of the brothers were trying to write to it, and I’m sitting there thinking, I don’t like it."
"I was like, ‘What does this have to do with Wu-Tang Forever?’," he continued. "I’m not questioning his artistic ability or anything. I'm just saying, for my taste, I was more or less like, I’m not getting on that.”
Method Man emphasized that he likes Drake and the music he puts out, especially after Kaz said not a lot of artists would've turned down an opportunity to work with Drizzy. However, Meth and the group didn't think the record would become *that* big.
Later on in the episode, Method Man revealed that he's currently working on his memoir. He shared how he discovered that he suffers from PTSD while writing the book.
“I'm still fixing," he explained. "I have a lot of things that I'm still dealing with because I'm doing a memoir now, so there are a lot of memories that have been flooding back into my mind about my childhood. And I've come to the conclusion that yes, I do suffer from PTSD. This is where my anxiety comes from and my depression that I've been dealing with for years.”
